Campus locations
The Institute has five major campuses and numerous training centres. All offer bright, comfortable and modern classrooms with a full range of audio/visual equipment and up-to-date computer facilities.
The Institute also provides purpose-built training facilities that give students access to workplace simulation. Library facilities are located on each campus. Apart from traditional library facilities they also provide extensive computer facilities, which include free Internet access. All campuses are well serviced by public transport.
Broadmeadows campus
The main campus of the Institute is located approximately 20km from the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD).
The campus is well serviced by public transport and affordable housing. Wide ranges of courses are offered at this campus including business, international trade, information technology, ELICOS, fashion design, aerospace engineering and tourism. It is also the location of purpose-built training centres for aerospace engineering, polymer engineering and hospitality. The Office of International Students is located at the Broadmeadows campus.

Docklands campus
The Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Docklands is Kangan Batman TAFE’s newest campus. It is located on the southern edge of the CBD. Stage one, which opened in September 2006, houses body trades training, incorporating vehicle paint, panel beating and body making.

Richmond campus
The Richmond campus spans over two streets, and is only a few km away from the CBD. It is home to study areas such as automotive, fashion and millinery, business and sport and recreation. Richmond’s central location means excellent access to established public transport networks. Parking available on campus.

Moreland campus
Situated in the suburb of Coburg, the Moreland campus is approximately 15km from the CBD. This campus primarily offers community services and health, language studies and business courses. Parking available on campus.

Essendon campus
The Essendon campus is approximately 10km from the CBD, in a region recognised as the leading centre for office, retail and business services in Melbourne’s north-west. The Essendon area is known for its premier sports and entertainment facilities that include the Moonee Valley Race Course (Australia’s harness racing capital), Windy Hill (home of the Essendon Football Club) and a chain of parks around and along the Maribyrnong River. Coburg campus
The Coburg campus is situated in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, approximately 15km from the CBD. It primarily houses Kangan Batman TAFE’s automotive training, in areas such as light and heavy vehicle mechanics, vehicle trimming, motor sport and motorcycle mechanics. This campus also houses a new diesel emission testing and training facility developed in conjunction with the EPA. Parking available on campus.
